Indications
Sukrasanjibani Modak is a classical Ayurvedic compound preparation made from a mixture of herbs, usually prepared as a sweet confection (modak). It is traditionally used as a rejuvenating tonic for men: to support sexual vitality, improve semen quality, and help with general weakness and tiredness. Scientific evidence for these uses is limited, and it is not a proven treatment for infertility or erectile problems.
How It Works
The product combines several herbs described in Ayurveda as nourishing and strengthening. Some of these herbs contain plant compounds with antioxidant and mild hormone-related effects in laboratory and animal studies. How the combination works in people has not been properly studied.
Dosage and Administration
Take it as directed on the label or by a registered Ayurvedic practitioner, usually with milk or warm water. Do not exceed the recommended amount.
Interactions
No well documented interactions are known. Because it contains sugar and several herbs, people taking diabetes medicines, blood thinners such as Warfarin, or medicines for erectile problems such as Sildenafil should ask their doctor before using it.
Contraindications
Do not use it if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. It is not meant for children or women.
Side Effects
It is usually well tolerated. Some people may have indigestion, heaviness, loose stools or a feeling of heat in the body. Allergic reactions are rare.
Get urgent medical help if you have swelling of the face, lips or throat, difficulty breathing, chest pain or a severe rash.
Pregnancy and Lactation
It is intended for men. It should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Precautions and Warnings
People with diabetes should note that sweet confections contain sugar. Sexual problems and infertility can have medical causes such as diabetes, heart disease, or hormone problems, so see a doctor for proper check-ups. Avoid unregistered products that claim instant results, as some have been found to contain hidden prescription drugs.
Overdose
Taking too much may cause stomach upset. Contact a doctor if a large amount has been taken or a child has swallowed it.
Therapeutic Class
