Habbe Duwar
Indications
Habbe Duwar is a Unani herbal pill. "Habb" means pill and "duwar" is the Unani term for dizziness or vertigo, the feeling that you or the room is spinning. It is traditionally used to ease dizziness, light-headedness and related heaviness of the head. Scientific evidence for this use is limited. Dizziness can have many causes, including ear problems, low blood pressure, anaemia, low blood sugar and, rarely, stroke, so the cause should be checked by a doctor.
How It Works
In Unani medicine, dizziness is linked to an imbalance of the body's humours affecting the head. Herbal pills of this type combine plant ingredients that are traditionally believed to correct this imbalance and calm the head and stomach. The exact ingredients vary by manufacturer, so read the label of your pack. How well it works has not been proven in modern clinical studies.
Dosage and Administration
Take as directed on the label or by a registered Unani practitioner. Swallow the pills with water. Do not take more than the recommended amount. If dizziness continues or keeps coming back, see a doctor.
Interactions
Herbal pills can interact with other medicines. Tell your doctor or pharmacist about everything you take, especially medicines for blood pressure, diabetes, sleep, anxiety or epilepsy, and blood thinners such as Warfarin.
Contraindications
- Allergy to any ingredient listed on the pack.
- Children, unless advised by a doctor or registered practitioner.
Side Effects

Get urgent medical help if dizziness comes with sudden weakness or numbness of the face, arm or leg, slurred speech, loss of vision, severe headache, chest pain, fainting, or if you have swelling of the face or throat or difficulty breathing.
