Histacin is chlorpheniramine maleate, an antihistamine syrup, made by Jayson Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Tejgaon, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Each 5 mL (1 teaspoonful) contains Chlorpheniramine Maleate BP 2 mg.
The Bangla label lists its use in allergic conditions caused by histamine, such as urticaria, hay fever, food allergy and allergy from insect bites. It also prints doses by age, from 1 year to adults.
